The MRP-5000 series of gages measures internal and external diameters of tapered threaded connectors. These function diameter gages inspect the effects of all thread element variations and report deviations. The MRP-5000 gages must be preset to size before inspecting parts. A variety of setting standards are available. To ensure maximum accuracy, the tapered arms of the gages use matched sets of precision ground thread rolls that seat in the threads during inspection. Each set of thread rolls is designed to API specifications to measure a specific thread form. Thread rolls are sold separately.
