For large diameter measurement, our MIC 360 gage was designed for taking in-process measurements of machined and ground diameters. This gage measures internal, external, straight, or tapered diameters of machined parts with accuracies of ±.0002" on diameters under 12", ±.001" on diameters up to 240", and ±.002" on diameters up to 360.
There are two models of the MIC 360 available; a wireless model, which uses an infrared signal to send diameter measurements to the MIC 360's computer, or a wired model, which measures the diameter as well as the run out of a part.
The base unit of both models mounts directly in most conventional tool holders and tracks the precision diameter wheel around the part as it rotates. During each rotation, diameter measurements are sent to the MIC 360's computer, which displays the diameter and/or run out on the digital readout.
