Shoulder Length Gages
Shoulder length gages are designed for measuring pin length or box depth.  The gages seat on the end of the connection and measure a linear distance to the desired feature.  These gages can be modified to place contact points at a desired angle for an accurate location measurement.  Some gages are preset to a standard prior to application to the product.  Others are zeroed on a flat surface and read directly on the gage indicator or readout.
