Rod Style Setting Standards   Pitch Diameter Gages Print This Data Sheet MRP Series How To Order Select the rod style standard model based on the size and type of connectors being measured. The rod style setting standards are designed to preset all models of the MRP Series gages for accurate inspection of API threaded connections. These standards consist of two precision rods that are ground to lengths in accordance with API Spec 5B. The larger rod sets the distance between the thread shoes on the MRP gages. The smaller rod sets the axial location of the thread shoe on the MRP gages. How To Order Select the MIC TRAC model based on the size of the connectors being measured. Select the MIC TRAC tapered setting blocks (sold separately)

The MIC TRAC setting master is a multi-function gauging unit that sets and calibrates all models of the MRP Series gages for accurate inspection of API threaded connections. This setting master uses replaceable blocks to set the gages. These setting blocks have an accurate taper ground into the gauging surface. One set of taper blocks covers all connections that have that taper. The base unit adjusts the blocks to predetermined location for setting the MRP gages. Calculated setting dimensions for all API connections are provided with the MIC TRAC.
